"SCFFC exists to preserve fly fishing tradition and promote wildlife conservation by educating the youth and providing platforms for fly fishing participation."
According to various sources, over half of regularly participating fly fishers are over the age of thirty five. SCFFC recognizes the need to keep the art of fly fishing alive, and therefore aims to promote fly fishing to the younger generations, as seen in our largely college-aged members.
